Over

My first goal is to get at least one doujin from every artist that i like, and that's a lot. ;)

I focus on good artists, quality works and varying drawing styles to keep my eyes shining from beauty.

Art books and hentais are my main purchases :)

Thank you! I have some boxes but most of them are on my shelves right now. But running out of space again.
Most have a glossy cover and didn't put those in a sleeve or cover. (except for manga)
For sleeves, I just cut open the sealing on one end if they are re-usable. Some can't be re-used, depending on the shop.
I bought A5,B5,A4 covers for protection for my doujinshi and manga, but it's a hassle to do them all.
You have quite some large Pixiv following list :) I gotta fix my AutoPagerize rules.

trafto1 maand(en) geleden#78413866I've just ordered a lot of Ke-Ta works on Suruga ya thanks to you reminding me of this artist :) I really like how freaking erotic but so smooth and cute at the sametime her works are.
Side note:
I think I'm gonna assume most of the artists I follow must be women ^^ Recently I started digging for content on illustrators on youtube to know more about them, how they work, who they are and get to learn more about the doujin "industry".
Here are some interviews of them from Wacom and COJIRASE LUNCH BOX).
And sometimes illustrators also have a Youtube channel (in addition to Pixiv/Twitch livestreams ^^
Shigure Ui,Pochi, 加川壱互, 昆布わかめ, 西沢5ミリ
Though I didn't find much content about illustrators on Nico Nico Douga.
I'm quite sad to see a general lack of content online / communities about illustrators and the doujin industry though it is so popular in Japan :/
End of side note
Yeah I'll definitely take shots once it arrives :D I have so many doujins ordered right now it's gonna take me multiple days to register them all here ^^ My biggest order ever x) I don't know how lorddralnu handles this ^^ Last year I had ordered around 40-50 doujins.
I registered new artists and more are to come this week end, hope this will help people find new artists :)

I'm so glad! Is his stuff still expensive? Side note of my own, I tend to assume artists are male unless I learn otherwise haha. I've definitely been surprised before! Anyway, I love how smooth his work is too! Everything just looks so squishy lol. Oh that's so cool, I've never even thought to look for artists on YT before. I've watched some stream their drawings and...other things I guess, but mostly on Japanese channels.
YES! The lack of love for doujinshi in the West is so incredibly sad imo, especially considering we have large conventions too (even if none of them are dedicated to doujinshi like Comiket is). I've always thought one hurdle is that it's much more expensive to print things here. Any Western art book I've bought has always been $20+ dollars, which would be an expensive doujin imo if I saw it on Tora. The higher price probably makes people more reluctant to buy, but there definitely are some!
I used to order a ton every year too, though I'm not sure I ever did 50 at once! That's a huge haul. I've slowed down a lot lately, but I'm slowly picking back up.

Thanks!
It's true, and I proudly admit I have a preference for old-school franchises (mainly 90s ones).
But that doesn't mean I spit on new franchises! Some of my top fave franchises are recent ones: In Another World With My Smartphone, Goblin Slayer, My Next Life as a Villainess, and We Never Learn to name a few.

(Speaking of We Never Learn, I can't wait for the release of the newest chapter, Chapter 160, tomorrow! Because View spoilerHide spoilerit's the start of the Fumino Route, my fave heroine of this manga! I've been waiting for this for SO long! ! I'm also waiting eagerly for my Fumino Nendoroid, but it's currently stuck somewhere in transit in my country since May 19th... >_<# And now it's been a full month since it was initially sent by the shop I bought her at. :/

WindsorSeven1 maand(en) geleden#78412623Oh great, you know all the main stores! It kills me when I see people buying doujinshi for super marked up prices on other sites. I've bought doujin off of Y!JA a handful of times through FromJapan, but their fees back kinda killed it. Idk if they've changed in the past few years though. Haha, I'm the opposite! When I find an artist I like I try to buy all the books I can! Hence my ke-ta, anmi, Ask, etc collections. Lmk if and when your stuff arrives. I'll probably shoot a message to the proxy I used if I don't see anything arrive in another day or two. Yeah! Finding oos stuff on suru is what I love!

Thanks. True, there aren't many people who actively add doujinshi but I'm still years away from being a "pillar of the doujin community" ;)

trafto1 maand(en) geleden#78367354I mainly use Melonbooks, Toranoana, and in last resort Suruga ya as you.
I've still not used Yahoo auctions but I found many items of Ogipote on it so one time or another I'll give it a try through Goody Japan I think :)
As I prefer the freshest stuff from many artists over collecting all the books of one artist, I go on the main selling sites first.
My last orders on Suruga ya this week have been accepted but yes none of them have still arrived to Goody Japan or White Rabbit Express :/
Though I'm very happy to have found Ogipote works that were all out of order or Melon or Tora, so I'll wait happily now that they are bought :)

trafto1 maand(en) geleden#78354446That's a nice compilation of Ke-Ta and Anmi art books you have there :D
I still don't have Ke-Ta doujins but I think I'll fix that in my next order now :D

Thanks so much! I have to be honest and say I'm falling out of love with the Ke-ta books as of late, but I can't bear to get rid of them because the art is just so nice...and also they were a little hard/expensive to get haha. Same with the Anmi ones, but I still love those!
Where do you normally buy your doujinshi? I made a Suru order like...two weeks ago and it still hasn't moved, sigh.
