About this picture

"One teaspoon of what?"

Testing Re-Ment's Kawa(ii) Kitchen, which is, true to its name, the cutest kitchen set ever. I've seen the Megahouse version with its cute penguin coffee pot and panda toaster, but this Re-Ment series is tough to beat.

(Though I do see the need for a panda toaster.)

I have more sweets than proper food, so this wasn't hard to set up. I'm thinking of b

neo_valkyrieYou could buy a plastic makeup container if you want to store them.

Yup, I'm just about to get some soon. It's silly but I'm quite excited about it.

neo_valkyrieI actually own a Sylvanian Family Cottage that looks really cute so I've been planning to buy a bedroom set.

Their cottages are so cute, and perfect for huge collections of nendoroids too. It'll be easier to buy furniture as well. Have you seen the luxury master bedroom set? It has a desk that's really cute.

neo_valkyrieBut at least their miniatures are good as Re-ment miniatures.

They'd be perfect if they weren't too...how do I say this, cute? Cartoony? Slightly on the stubby side. I prefer most Re-ment to Sylvanian accessories, though Re-ment rarely fits the 1:12 scale.

caramelcakeIt's so addicting, isn't it? How do you keep your miniatures? I keep mine in their boxes, but I think I need to get some plastic organizers soon.

The one thing about Sylvanian Families is, they're rather expensive and often sold in sets, so I can't pick out items that I like (like this tall living room lamp I've been eyeing for quite some time now).

I just keep them in their original plastic and pile them up in a bag. I flatten the cardboard boxes and pile them up in the same way. You could buy a plastic makeup container if you want to store them.

Your pictures always amaze me.

I wanted to make a "dollhouse" for my Nendos too but I lack the disposition.

neo_valkyrieDoes Nozomu ever get any visitors?

Sometimes Figma Kyon pops in from time to time but he's too tall for the house which makes for very awkward afternoon tea. Maybe when the Bakemonogatari petit nendoroids arrive.

neo_valkyrieOh and how did you stick the clock and shelves on the wall?

I use Faber Castell Tack-It. It's tough enough to hold things but easy to remove and doesn't leave residue. Sometimes I use it to clean dust that gets into nooks and crannies. (I sound like a commercial.)

Well, it kind of fits since most Japanese apartments are probably like this. The kitchen set is incredibly cute. I like buying Re-ment and Sylvanian Family miniatures too. Does Nozomu ever get any visitors? Oh and how did you stick the clock and shelves on the wall? Did you use some kind of tape?

To Singer_Yuna: The travel suitcase from the OL series, right? That's so cute! Your girls look adorable.

To neo_valkyrie: I really should; the extra floor room would be nice. Then again I also like it cramped and disorganized, so...

To cioudrunnerfiute: Thank you! And look into Re-ment if you can! Though personally I'd recommend trying Sylvanian Families first, because they're more to scale, and offer less margin for error (trying to match up off-scale accessories with a nendoroid can be very frustrating).
