Again, it's incorrect to use the term "pre-painted" on plastic kits, they never manufacture "painted" plastic kits. Figure-rise Standard plastic kits are colored plastics snap together, so the base colors are there; boots are brown, legs are black, jacket is blue; but some finer details (buttons, laces, etc.) might follow the base color of those pieces. So yes, some parts may require painting if you want to make it look better. Decals are also provided for certain details. Just don't expect SHF's level of color without touching it up yourself.
For example: blog.kenbill.co...
See how they separate Cell's purple and green parts so that they snap together to form the pattern on his skin? That's how it works. But some details, like his all white fingers with no black nails, follow the base color, so those need to be self-painted for better accuracy.

So can anyone confirm if this figure is pre painted or not? I'm interested in getting it if it's base colours are pre painted.

BOiNG (2 jaar geleden) #18577564No such thing as a "pre-painted" plastic kit by Bandai. These plastic kits are molded multiple parts in color by default. Just look at the Figure-rise Cell plastic kit and you'll see how it all snaps together. Smaller details are applied using decals. So yes, the base colors and basic markings of the character are there, but anything else, owners will have to paint it themselves.

Still, there's a difference between it being in the correct colors already or having every piece arrive in the same generic beige color. I understood the question to be asking if the latter was the case.
