Also quite important: I didn't tie the thread to tight. Just so, that if the hair droops, it will be stopped
I took the Photos just right now, so you can see how far the hair drooped since I have her (for around 2 and a half months now) with my room beeing at 30° on the worst summer days.

Thanks for the pics and instructions! This really does seem like a good middle ground fix that isn’t as visually obstructive as a physical support pillar

Schlipsheim • 15 dag(en) geleden • #128252332I took some clear plastic thread and wrapped it around her lower twintail, over the dress and tied it around the neck (the part that is connected with the body, not the head) and so it held the hair in place.
I have her for a good while now and she is displayed in a room under the roof, so the summer heat tested my construction to it's limit.
So far nor drooping, no deforming, nothing.
I just noticed that one of the upper hair loops touches the dress slightly but the hand and especially the leg are miles away from the hair.
So, in case someone is looking for a good way to secure the hair without using an ugly stand, clear thread or fishing line could do the trick!

Do you mind posting a pic of how you tied the thread? Got mine recently and haven’t unboxed her yet and might try your trick
