Link to remake OP
12 years ago, Tsukihime, the first game in the Type Moon series was announced to be given a remake. The original game was originally put out in 2000.
With how popular Type Moons Fate is, I and everyone never expected to wait 12 years for an update on the remake of this. Also Witch on the Holy Night, the most recent in the Type Moon series is also somewhat unknown.
However don't think I am cynical, I am totally pumped, as everyone assumed this turned into a cancelled project. I'm hoping this will give us some new merchandise of our favorites!
Volks is great about doing Dollfies of VN characters and I am so so hoping we see an Arcuid Dollfie.
What are you hoping for? How do you like the OP?

What they are doing is illegally filling a niche (PC port, translation) when they have no right to, which is potentially snubbing the value for a legal version maybe just a few months down the line. People who would have bought a legal copy of the official PC port/translation won't bother after illegally getting the earlier "free" PC port/translation. I don't care as much about Type-Moon not making money from it, as much as the fact that a whole bunch of others are not paying the same fee I did to play it. If the illegal port/translation didn't exist, these people would simply not pirate the game.
I think this would apply more if the game was still in production, but almost every time I see a copy its several hundred dollars and while its defiantly in the plans to buy, the people making that money is not Type Moon. The copies sold already sold to Type Moon and now those excess profits are just going to resellers.
Unfortunately I expect that there might be some delays (due to Covid and such) but it's nice from TM to have confirmed summer 2021 and PS4/Switch for the release of the remake; hopefully they will pack some nice limited/collector edition of the VN (and maybe, hopefully, we're gonna get and official english release).
Moving on figures/merchandise topic, personally I hope for a nice scale figure of Arcueid in her View spoilerHide spoilerprincess/Archetype Earth dress and also a pair of Hisui and Kohaku Nendoroids, I think they would be adorable!
That's not my problem. My problem is that I'm paying for it like I'm supposed to, and others are not when they should be. There is no reason left to pay for it when you can get it for free. No-one is entitled to free entertainment, it's not like food where it's a human right. If you can't afford it, then do something else.

I'm hoping for a DMCA sooner rather than later. I feel like an idiot actually paying full price for Japanese games (that's 9k yen each for those not in the know) when there are people who just don't.
Putting that aside, I'm looking forward to it. I only played all the Type-Moon games relatively recently after getting good enough at Japanese, and Tsukihime was my favourite after Mahoyo. The new Mahoyo-esque artstyle and engine would suit the game a lot. I just hope Satsuki gets that route they're always teased us about...
Pretty certain type moon has tons of money now I doubt pirating the game will hurt them financially

Speaking of VNs, one of the best VNs of all time Cinderella Phenomenon just released a sequel to original story on Steam available on PC (Cinderella Phenomenon: Evermore). It's an otome game, but I felt that the original's story was compelling enough for both sexes to enjoy.
Pretty exciting for fans of this VN to finally get concrete news about the remake they've been dreaming about.
Arcueid with the long hair and gown always appealed to me stylistically, I would like to see a figure of her. And I like Akiha, it'd be neat to see a figure of her too imo
I remember trying to watch the Tsukihime anime waaaay back when I was in middle school and I just didn't like it. I kind of wonder if I'd like it more if it were rebooted, but then I have a love hate relationship with Type Moon content anyway. It'd certainly be pretty and have a good OST at the very least.
