Hello!

I only collect articulated figures. I own figmas, nendoroids, Three zero, real action heroes, revoltech, and sh figuarts. I know of (a zone) purenemo, (volks) smart Dolls, and phat company. I was wondering what other companies make articulated figures?? particularly pose-able anime figures!!

Xardej (6 dag(en) geleden) #71222770While I can definitely support the Dark Advent like that Krakendress Reina is a part of, that's actually a model line, not an articulated figure. They're definitely absolutely fantastic, but only if the OP actually likes building models.

Ah, whoops. XD; (The DX version of Reina certainly looked as expensive as higher-end figures tend to be these days...)

Did anyone mention Griffon's short-lived Figutto line? ENTRY #23374 Griffon got a lot of hate here (for their static figures), especially near the end, but their Reimu action figure was quite nice.

You could try the Parfom line. They're like a mix between Figma and Nendoroids. Some of them are pretty darn grand (Labrys for example).

general-radix (6 dag(en) geleden) #71179469Apparently Skytube (which AFAIK mostly makes original 18+ scales) is making articulated figures now; look up "Krakendress Reina".

Kotobukiya has Cu-Poche (sort of their answer to Nendoroids) and a line of poseable model kit figures called Frame Arms Girls that should be an original line of characters.

Square Enix has Bring Arts & Play Arts Kai.

Daibadi Production has a line of characters they produce in a similar scale to Figma & SH Figuarts that's called Polynian. But I believe it's something semi-original to their company. There's a storyline being released, but I think the guy making the story is the one making the figures.

I believe TB League occasionally makes anime related figures (eg. Rebecca from One Piece).

In addition to that, MegaHouse does make articulated figures for series like One Piece.

If your interests aren't limited to Japanese IPs (anime) you could look at non-anime figure communities for brands tossed around there.

I have a preorder from LIM TOYS right now, which does action figures but theirs are unlicensed.

Animu stuff:
Sentinel, aka 1000toys. They are a mix bag that seems to do a bit of everything. Quality is high end, but their price increase for each subsequent release is insane. At the rate they are going, they are about to become 1000$toys. Most expensive by far.

Bring Arts, quality is bad to soso. Like Sentinel, insane price increase. Most of their stuff is their own IP. Pegs and joints are weak, the figure breaks when you stare at it. Worst action figure line imo.

Storm Collectibles(HK based), good quality stuff and price also increased a lot since first released, but their stuff goes on sale quite often. Because of that, you can get a really good figure for a really good price. They do mostly fighting games, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and recently KOF. I recommend if you like muscular action heroes.

None animu, movie/transformer stuff:
Mezco. Imo, the best of all the action figure company right now. The pricing is fair and remains somewhat stagnant. They don't do animu stuff, but if you like Marvel, DC, movie or something unique, check them out. They use soft good for their figure and some of their figure comes with a ton of accessory(usually "Mezco Exclusive") but cost only 10~15 more than Figma.

FlameToys(HK based), does Transformer stuff only. High end stuff, quality is second to none. Also incredibly expensive.

Toys Alliance(HK based?), they do their own and Transformer stuff. I bring them up because of 2 reasons. 1. their MAS-01 Optimus Prime is on sale for $144 in BBTS right now and believe me, you won't find any better deal/quality than this guy in any Japanese store. 2. They might be losing their Transformer license soon. So if you want to get it, this might be your last chance.

Uhh... That's all? Might edit if I can think of anything else.
