Ms Marvel Binary 1/7 KotobukiyaMs Marvel Binary 1/7 KotobukiyaReview

Today I want to share with you a favorite figure of mine. Binary Ms Marvel from Kotobukiya's Bishoujo line. She is a Comic Con exclusive, limited to 2000 pieces. I pre ordered her on Koto's website thinking she'd sell out. Six months afterwards she was still available from the site, so she obviously wasn't a best seller. Too bad though, as I personally think she's one of the best. Why? I'll show you.

I know it's a matter of opinion, but I think her face is gorgeous! Those piercing yellow eyes, those pursed lips and those arch brows. A look that screams 'the calm before the storm'.

Her hair is beautiful despite it obviously being a big ball of fire! It's entirely translucent, but very beautiful!

Look at that beautiful midsection! Her outfit looks black in all the pictures, but it's actually tinted red and yes her outfit is sparkly! I would assume to reflect that she's on fire! Lots of the Bishoujo statues have outfits that really make their busts stand out. Her's are entirely covered, but from the side, you can see she's still stacked!

DAT SASH. Her sash is beautiful with lots of details, as if it's blowing in the wind. There is paint clumping and a short seam line on her sash. It's the only place where there are any flaws.

Up close on the flames emerging from her legs and arms! Extremely detailed! And lovely detail on her boots where her leg is bent!

Great detail in her outfit to show that she's slightly turned to one side. It's weird to say, but her back is quite beautiful, just like the rest of her!

I don't have any words to describe this except niiiiiiiice...

Those wonderfully long legs! I love a girl with beautiful legs! Knee high boots are always a good thing as well!

Her base is essentially a rock, but I love its shape!

I love her pose, so dynamic!

Flame on! She comes with optional flames for her hands. I like keeping them off, mostly because I like simplicity.

Overall, I think this figure is amazing and beautiful. A beautiful face and a wonderful body. A great addition to the Bishoujo line. It was nice that this was a lot different than regular Ms Marvel and not just a simple repaint.

As I stated, there are no flaws on my figure aside from a short 1in seam and a few paint clumps on her sash. The rest of her is perfect. I'd recommend her to anyone.

And let the 'she looks like a cheeto' jokes begin. XD

mintbunny8 jaar geleden#1077373I would assume one reason is that because that isn't what Binary looks like. So purists probably wouldn't buy her. Also the skin. My fiance didn't want me to get her at first because he thought 'really, an orange girl?' She's so much better in person. Yeah, I don't know why she didn't do better. She is gorgeous. :)
The only Marvel I'm familiar with are the movies and games. I know nothing of the comics. But I love their superheros!

Actually, Binary looks similar to this except for the costume. Her original costume looks like this: x.annihil.us/u/...

Honestly, I freaked out in happiness when I saw the Binary edition. It's probably because I'm familiar with Binary's backstory and I really like how the figure was done. I would have preferred the original costume, but I'm happy with it regardless.

She looks nice, I just don't know anything about her though. Not really into western comics/heroes except Iron Man. Iron man is just bad-ass :D

I'm not much of a western comics fan myself. Actually I'm not at all. Never read one. But I have to agree the current movie Iron Man is awesome! I buy figures for aesthetics though, hence why I have her. :)

Agreed on all counts. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out her costume had a little sparkle to it. She makes an awesome addition to my overall Marvel collection.
