I just have a question and wanted opinions.

I shipped something out (First Class with tracking) on the 7th of December...and tracking information hasn't updated since the 9th... It still says it's in my state (from the 9th), and it's supposed to make its way to Massachusetts.

Should I be worried or is this a common thing during the holiday rush? When should I start to worry?

Recently shipped a 1:32 scale fire engine to Portugal. The buyer paid for the shipping, $63+ USD, to send it USPS Express Mail International. I sent it Insured also. It took exactly 2 weeks. Of the 2 weeks it spent 1 week in Customs.

As for US trans-shipments sometimes the weather plays a role in slowing deliveries. I have found the only service USPS seems to be faithful updating is the high-end Global Express Guaranteed. USPS Priority gets noticed once in a while while USPS Parcel Post operates in stealth mode often. So far my experience has been both UPS and FedEx do the best job with tracking...yay, private sector.

Doesn't seem to matter what service either. I have one item with 2 day express on it that was shipped on the 9th and so far its a no show.. Happy Holidays!

when it comes to the holidays, yeah, it's a little bit busier but they should update it by the end of the business day or probably late at night (at least, ime).

i agree with the others! if it's not there in about a week or so, i'd worry. @_@

This time of year is just crazy for mail T___T
I wouldn't start worrying for like, another week? I had two packages go missing lately though, they got to the sort facility in my state and never updated past that for weeks. Hopefully that's not the case here!

USPS tracking system is inadequate at times. It's certainly not good for the impatient people who refresh the tracking page every 5 min. lol

miketri6 jaar geleden#1884687LOL, I know how you feel. That's also partially why I use unregistered SAL, so I don't stalk my package's every moment xD

That's something to point out, but then there's that chance the package might get lost, and you're left wondering if it'll ever come to you. :P

Soreni6 jaar geleden#1884657Yes, it's by SAL. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if it arrived until January. I'm just a little kid when it comes to waiting for packages to arrive that I wait by the window for the mailman every day. xD

miketri6 jaar geleden#1884629Is your package by SAL and in customs? I remember having to wait a month or so for my holiday package last year. But that does seem quite a while. Don't panic yet, lol.

Soreni6 jaar geleden#1884622Then should I be panicking that my tracking info hasn't updated since Nov. 28?

miketri6 jaar geleden#1884602Don't worry about it, things get busy this time of year! I might start getting concerned if it doesn't move for over a week, though, but my stuff takes sometimes twice as long as it usually does during this season.

Then should I be panicking that my tracking info hasn't updated since Nov. 28?
